Arianne is a monitoring and evaluation specialist based at the Fenner School for Environment and Society, Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, Australia. Specific areas of interest include natural resource management and the challenges of project design to enable effective assessment of outcomes. Arianne has worked within government and non-government sectors on Australian and International projects. Arianne’s research has developed a comprehensive and operational evaluation framework for environmental practitioners. A constructive, positive approach to evaluation is always advocated. Evaluation is considered an important, valuable tool and when applied with consideration and contextual insight can contribute substantially to areas including natural resource management. Arianne has skills in qualitative and quantitative social research methods. Arianne is also a veterinarian (BVScHons USyd) with a special interest in ecology and molecular genetics (BScHons) and a PhD from the Australian National University.
